Wine..!!!

Wine, is nothing but fermented grape juice. It is a very popular alcoholic beverage. Wine is made by fermenting crushed grapes using various types of yeast and is left in barrels for months or years. Yeast consumes the sugars found in the grapes and converts them into alcohol. The longer they ferment the better they get. A wide variety of grapes are used based on the type of wine being made. Wine is usually made from one or more varieties such as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. Wine can also be made from other species of grape or from hybrids, created genetically by crossing 2 species. The sweetness of wine is determined by the amount of residual sugar in the wine after fermentation. Tasting wine is an art and not all can get the complete essence of it. Most people can only tell if it is sweet or sour but a professional wine taster can sense the organic ingredients that are used in it. Wine collection is a hobby for most elite class of people. Wine has also played an important role in religion especially Christianity. In Christianity, wine is used in a sacred rite called the Eucharist. It is also scientifically proved that wine is statistically associated with a decrease in death due to cardiovascular events such as heart failure.
