Leather is a material created through the tanning of hides and skins of animals, primarily cattlehide. There are different forms of leather. Some of them are aniline leather, patent leather, morocco leather, nappa leather, ostrich leather, Corinthian leather, pleather and Bicast leather. Each of them vary in the compounds used for the tanning process. The tanning process converts the putrescible skin into a durable, long-lasting and versatile natural material for various uses. Leather products are also made from kangaroo skins, crocodile skins, snake skins, tiger skins, alligators, ostrich feathers and bison skin. Ostrich leather and crocodile leather is considered one of the finest and the most durable type of leather in the world and is currently used by many major fashion houses such as Prada, Hermès, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton. Due to the excellent resistance of leather to abrasion and wind, they are used by cowboys and bikers all over the world. Leather products help to keep you warm in cold climates. Leather is used for the manufacture of various goods such as clothes, shoes, wallets, winter jackets, car seats, sofa covers, biker jackets and lot more.
